This painting was inspired by my first spring in New Mexico, 2011. The juniper trees release so much pollen it reminded me of the infinite creativity of all life, here on earth and beyond. I never felt I had finished the painting. I'd pull it out every year and think, "oh, I need to do more on that one," then put it away. This year (2015) I decided it was probably best left unfinished as a symbol of the awareness that nothing is ever finished but continues to grow in whatever direction it feels most inclined to follow whether it is in physical form or not.
