This is an inspired work created after returning from Italy. It comes mostly from my imagination but there is a place quite similar to it in the area of Greve. You can see the process by visiting the Drawings page where the drawing is posted. I was attempting to paint the colors of the landscape at dusk, a particularly mysterious time when most of the color is gone, but what remains is suggestive of the quieter essence of the earth.
